Starting Salary: $130,000 - $170,0000

I'm partnering with a growing plaintiff-side litigation practice seeking an Associate Attorney to join a highly successful team representing employees and consumers in complex litigation matters. This is an excellent opportunity for an attorney who wants meaningful courtroom exposure, hands-on litigation experience, and mentorship while working on high-impact wage-and-hour and class action cases.
 

The Opportunity

In this role, you'll support experienced litigators in state and federal court matters involving wage-and-hour disputes, class actions, representative actions, and other complex employment-related litigation. The team is experiencing continued growth, creating an outstanding environment for attorneys who are eager to develop their litigation skills and take on increasing responsibility.
This position offers exposure to all phases of the litigation process, from legal research and discovery through motion practice, depositions, hearings, and trial preparation.
 

What You'll Do

  • Conduct legal research and analyze complex legal issues.
  • Draft pleadings, motions, briefs, and discovery-related documents.
  • Assist with all phases of discovery, including responses, document review, and case development.
  • Prepare for and attend depositions.
  • Support case strategy and trial preparation efforts.
  • Appear in court hearings and participate in oral advocacy opportunities.
  • Communicate directly with clients and help manage client relationships under attorney supervision.
  • Collaborate with senior attorneys on high-stakes employment and class action litigation matters.

Required Qualifications

  • Licensed to practice law in Washington State, or licensed in another U.S. jurisdiction with pending admission to the Washington Bar.
  • JD from an accredited law school.
  • Strong legal writing, research, and analytical skills.
  • Excellent organizational and communication abilities.
  • Ability to manage multiple deadlines and priorities in a fast-paced litigation environment.
  • Willingness to travel occasionally as needed.

Preferred Qualifications

  • 1+ years of civil litigation experience.
  • Experience handling discovery in civil litigation matters.
  • Prior courtroom experience, including hearings and oral advocacy.
  • Experience drafting and arguing motions.
  • Deposition experience, including preparing for, taking, or defending depositions.
  • Prior exposure to class actions, complex litigation, or wage-and-hour matters is highly desirable.
