Job Description
Overview - Temp to Hire
Join our cosmetics manufacturing team as a Maintenance Technician and become a vital part of ensuring the safety, efficiency, and reliability of our facilities. In this energetic role, you will be responsible for troubleshooting with subsequent corrective actions, complete preventive maintenance, required modifications, on all production related equipment. We are looking for motivated individuals who thrive on problem-solving, possess strong mechanical knowledge, and enjoy hands-on work that makes a real impact every day.
Schedule:
1st Shift: M-F, 6am-2:30pm
Duties
- Perform, trouble-shoot, perform corrective and preventive maintenance on all mechanical, electrical/electronic and pneumatic production related equipment.
- Use problem solving tools to identify root cause for repetitive breakdowns or other losses.
- Support production flow, collaborate across departments, and ensure full compliance with plant policies and safety standards.
- Support production maintenance and engineering in the installation, adjustment, fabrication or modification of machinery as assigned by the Maintenance Manager.
- Move, relocate and perform setup of production equipment.
Qualifications
- Minimum of three (3) years of related experience working in a production/operations facility.
- Must have experience as a mechanic in a Manufacturing or Packaging Facility. Electrical knowledge is a plus.
- Ability to use all type of tools which include but are not limited to: small hand tools, hand held drill motors and similar hand held electric and pneumatic power tools, precision measurement tools, milling and combination drilling presses, grinders and hydraulic/manual presses.
- Basic knowledge of PLC logic and electrical problem solving.
- Ability to understand interaction of equipment systems and diagnose and repair mechanical, pneumatic and hydraulic problems.
