Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM
Experience:
• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.
• 12 months of Medical Surgical / Telemetry Unit experience with any experience within the last 36 months (3 years).
• Experience with Epic is required.
Requirements:
• Candidates must have a Wisconsin license or compact license (required after submission).
• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >70 miles from facility to be submitted.
• COVID vaccination required after submission. Religious and medical declinations accepted.
• Flu vaccination required after submission. Religious, medical, and personal declinations accepted.
• No current placement allowed at Program: Vaya Workforce Solutions - SSM Health.

Additional Details:
You must be able to complete labs within 48 hours of signing.
Preferred Skills/Experience: Community hospital experience is preferred.
Unit Details: Mixed-acuity unit caring for Med-Surg, Med-Surg/Telemetry, and some Telemetry patients. Patient population includes infants, pediatrics, adolescents, adults, and geriatrics; pediatric volume is very low. Common diagnoses and patient populations include CHF/heart failure, COPD, sepsis, cellulitis, pneumonia, SBO/bowel obstruction, atrial fibrillation, NSTEMI, CVA/TIA, AKI, AMS, GI bleed, respiratory failure, overdose, and other med/surg/tele conditions. Surgical cases include total hips, total knees, total shoulders, fracture repairs, abdominal cases including colectomies and ostomies, ENT, limited vascular and thoracic, and basic pediatric surgical procedures. Telemetry capability is available throughout the unit with 24/7 tele tech coverage. Special procedures and recovery include cardiac cath with stent recovery, step-down patients with non-titrating cardiac drips, thoracentesis, paracentesis, central line or midline insertions, and hemodialysis patients. Staffing ratios: days 1:5; nights and weekends 1:5-6. Ultrasound is used for US-guided IV insertions; not required of agency RN unless they are certified in ultrasound-guided IV insertions. Pediatric patients will not be assigned to the agency RN unless they have a strong pediatric background.
Shift & Scheduling: Every third weekend. 8 weekend shifts per contract.
