Shift: 7:00 PM - 7:00 AM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 12 months of Medical Surgical - Orthopedic Unit experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

• 3 months of Meditech experience is preferred.

• 9 months of acute care experience with 9 months within the last 12 months.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a Louisiana license or compact license (required for submission).

• This role may require floating to additional units and locations

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >50 miles from facility to be submitted.

• Staff, Part-Time, and Per Diem employees currently working at this health system cannot be submitted.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience:
Ability to care for telemetry patients.
Experience managing patients with multiple chronic conditions.

Preferred Skills/Experience:
Surgery step-down/Med-Surg experience preferred.

Unit Details:
Unit focus includes orthopedic, trauma, and spine care.
Typical procedures include IV therapy and medication administration, blood product administration, wound care management, central line care and maintenance, and enteral feeding management.
Equipment includes telemetry monitoring, IV infusion pumps, bladder scanners, EKGs, enteral feeding pumps, BiPAPs, Vapotherm, drains, chest tubes, PPN/TPN, and PCA pumps.
A hospital-provided iMobile telecommunications device is used to communicate with providers.

Shift & Scheduling:
Flexible contract hours: 48 per week approved for this position.

Floating Requirements:
Floats to all Med-Surg units and ED holds.
