Respiratory Unit - Respiratory Therapist - $2250 per week.

Shift: 6:00 AM - 6:30 PM

Experience:

• 12 months of experience with 3 months within the last 12 months.

• 5 years of Respiratory Unit experience.

• Experience with Epic is preferred.

Requirements:

• Candidates must have a license (required after submission).

• Travel only, local not allowed. Candidates must live >60 miles from facility to be submitted.

• No current placement allowed at Program: Medefis Program - Gunnison Valley Health.

Additional Details:

Required Skills/Experience: - Must have at least 5 years of newborn/NICU experience. - At least 3 years experience in the acute Respiratory Care medicine to include: General Floor Care, Emergent Medical and Trauma Stabilization/Treatment, and Newborn Stabilization.

Preferred Skills/Experience: - Cardiopulmonary Diagnostics and Pulmonary and Cardiac Rehabilitation preferred.

Required Credentials: - Graduate of an approved and accredited school for Respiratory Care. - Member of the American Academy of Respiratory Care (AARC).

Special Requests: - Rural community with no public transport. - Rural Gunnison does not have public transportation; traveler must have access to a reliable source of transportation.

Unit Details: - Provides comprehensive therapeutic and diagnostic respiratory care in both inpatient and outpatient settings. - Adult, pediatric, and newborn patient population. - Pulmonary Function Studies and administration of testing. - Assist in the orientation and training of new clinical staff on respiratory therapy modalities and equipment. - Involved with community education and development.

Shift & Scheduling: - Rotating weekends. - On-call: 2 shifts per week. - Holidays as required.

14 days maximum time off

1 Charge/Lead/Supervisor reference required from within the last 12 months

• RRT (Registered Respiratory Therapist)

• ACLS (Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support)

• NRP (Neonatal Resuscitation Program – 8th Edition)
