Our client, a municipal services organization, is seeking a Tow Lot Assistant to join their team. As a Tow Lot Assistant, you will be part of the municipal operations team supporting vehicle management and customer service functions. The ideal candidate will demonstrate excellent communication skills, attention to detail, and a proactive approach, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Tow Lot Assistant
Location: Milwaukee, WI
Pay Range: $18/hr.
Shift: Monday - Friday 8:30 AM - 5:00 PM, with potential for one half-day per week and Saturday hours from 9:00 AM to 1:30 PM
What's the Job?
- Interpret and explain parking regulations, city ordinances, and statutes to the public and staff.
- Review and verify submitted documents for validity and compliance with applicable statutes.
- Process approximately $3,000 daily in cash, credit, or check payments for towing, storage fees, parking permits, vehicle sales permits, DMV transactions, parking citations, payment plans, and vehicle bills.
- Reconcile cash deposits with drawer reports and identify discrepancies.
- Handle customer inquiries in person, via telephone, and online, providing professional and courteous assistance.

- Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced municipal environment.
- Strong communication skills to interact professionally with the public and staff.
- Basic administrative skills, including processing payments and reconciling accounts.
- Attention to detail and accuracy in handling transactions and documentation.
- Availability to work scheduled hours, including some Saturday shifts.
