Our client, a leading organization in the food manufacturing industry, is seeking a Technical Writer to join their team. As a Technical Writer, you will be part of the Operations / Learning and Development department supporting process documentation and training initiatives. The ideal candidate will have strong communication skills, attention to detail, and a collaborative mindset, which will align successfully in the organization.
Job Title: Technical Writer
Location: Byesville, OH
Pay Range: $25
Shift: 8:00am - 5:00pm, Monday through Friday
What's the Job?
- Develop, revise, and standardize SOPs, work instructions, and training materials for high-acid aseptic beverage manufacturing processes.
- Observe manufacturing operations across multiple production lines to capture accurate procedures and best practices.
- Collaborate with subject-matter experts to translate complex technical information into clear, user-friendly documentation.
- Ensure all documentation complies with food safety, quality, sanitation, and regulatory standards such as GMP, HACCP, FSMA, and OSHA.
- Manage document workflows, revisions, approval processes, and upload content into the Alchemy learning management system.
What's Needed?
- Bachelor’s degree in Technical Communication, English, Food Science, Engineering, or related field; relevant experience may be considered.
- Proven ability to create clear SOPs and work instructions through direct observation and collaboration with subject-matter experts.
- Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and organizational skills.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite and familiarity with visual content creation tools.
- Experience working with learning management systems or document management platforms.
