Description
American Traveler is hiring a Cath Lab Technologist for a full-service cardiac and peripheral cath lab, requiring RCIS certification and 2+ years of cath lab experience.
Details
- Complete cardiac and peripheral cath lab supported by cardiologists, interventional radiologists, and a general surgeon
- Procedures include left and right heart catheterization, PTCA, stenting, thrombectomy, atherectomy, carotid diagnostics and stenting, peripheral diagnostics and interventions, pacemaker insertion, tilt table test, kyphoplasty, and AV graft procedures
- Uses Philips Laser System, IVUS, OCT, coronary and peripheral atherectomy devices, and two Siemens Artis Zee C-arms
- Utilizes McKesson CPACS, McKesson Cardiology, and McKesson Hemodynamic systems
- 8-hour day shift, Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM to 4:00 PM
- No weekend requirements for scheduled shifts
- Rotating on-call coverage split by 4, typically 2 days per week with an off week, including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays
Requirements
- Minimum of 2 years of cath lab experience required
- RCIS certification required
- BLS (AHA) required
- ACLS (AHA) preferred
- License required if applicable
- Proficiency with scrubbing and circulating cath lab procedures and operating x-ray equipment
- Experience with various cath lab devices including laser, IVUS, OCT, and atherectomy systems
Additional Information
- Rotates between scrubbing and circulating roles, including operation of x-ray equipment during procedures
- Assists with pre and post procedure patient care, transporting patients, inventory management, and billing support
- Recent travel healthcare experience preferred
- Candidates residing within 50 miles of the facility will be considered for local placement at a reduced rate
- No more than 5 days of requested time off during the assignment
