Maintenance Service Technician

Our client, a leader in scientific instrumentation support, is seeking a Service Technician to join their team. As a Service Technician, you will be part of the Service Department supporting technical repair and maintenance operations. The ideal candidate will have strong problem-solving skills, a customer-focused attitude, and a collaborative spirit, which will align successfully in the organization.

Location: Bellevue, WA

Pay Range: $27

Shift: Day shift

What's the Job?

• Demonstrate understanding of electronic theory and mechanical skills to troubleshoot, and/or repair instrumentation and components.
• Maintain Standard Work, daily management routines and goals, and cross-training matrices.
• Perform sophisticated unit repairs that may include soldering, wiring, replacement of inoperative electrical and/or mechanical parts.
• Help support a teamwork-oriented culture to ensure all service to customer- or company-owned equipment is completed accurately, efficiently, and on time.
• Quickly cross-train on new tasks and new instrument families, utilizing lean manufacturing concepts to help plan and implement continuous process improvements.

What's Needed?

• 2-year technical degree or equivalent work experience.
• 2+ years of related work experience.
• Proven mechanical proficiency and ability to interpret sophisticated drawings, schematic, and wiring diagrams.
• Ability to meet physical demands, including lifting up to 50 pounds and performing tasks requiring manual dexterity.
• Strong problem-solving skills and a customer-oriented mindset.
