Responsibilities:
- Lead and inspire the engineering team to maintain the highest standards of safety and comfort for our guests.
- Oversee all aspects of property maintenance, ensuring timely repairs and preventative measures are in place.
- Collaborate with the general manager to align engineering operations with the hotel's strategic goals.
- Ensure compliance with all regulatory standards and safety protocols, safeguarding our guests and staff.
- Manage the hotel's energy efficiency initiatives, contributing to our sustainability goals.
- Develop and implement training programs for the engineering team to enhance skills and knowledge.
- Coordinate with external vendors and contractors to ensure quality and cost-effective services are delivered on time and within budget.
Qualifications:
- Experience: 2 to 5 years of progressive hospitality maintenance or engineering experience.
- Leadership: Proven history of supervising teams and managing vendor relationships.
- Technical Skills: Strong working knowledge of blueprints, electrical meters, and mechanical schematics.
- Certifications: Vocational training, HVAC certification, or a universal refrigerant license are frequently required.
- Physical Ability: Capability to stand for long periods, walk the property, and lift up to 50 pounds.
