Junior Designer

SAM Construction Group is the construction division for our vertically-integrated developer, SAM Development Group.  We specialize in new mid-rise multifamily and luxury home construction.  Our structures are concrete and steel, with in-house divisions self-performing a variety of trade craft scopes including grading/excavation, underground wet/dry utilities, concrete/rebar, framing/drywall, plumbing, mechanical, electrical, roofing, landscaping, as well as other scopes.

About the role We’re looking for a creative and motivated Junior Designer to join our team. This is a great opportunity for someone early in their design career to develop their skills, contribute to real projects, and learn from experienced designers/architects. You’ll support the creation of visual materials across digital and print channels, helping bring our brand and ideas to life.

 
Key responsibilities

• Create design concepts and visual assets for digital and print materials
• Support the development of marketing campaigns, presentations, and promotional materials
• Follow brand guidelines and maintain visual consistency
• Work closely with senior designer, architects, and other internal teams
• Prepare interior packages including material, appliance and plumbing specs
• Make revisions based on feedback
• Organize design files and maintain an efficient workflow
• Stay up to date with design trends, tools, and best practices
  

Requirements

• A degree, diploma, or equivalent experience in interior design, architecture
• A portfolio demonstrating design ability and creative thinking
• 4+ year's experience in luxury residential design 
• Basic knowledge of design principles, typography, layout, and color
• Experience with design tools such as Adobe Creative Cloud, AutoCAD
• Strong attention to detail and willingness to learn
• Good communication and time-management skills
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines
• A positive, collaborative, and adaptable attitude
  

Nice to have

• 3D software experience, rendering skills
• Experience preparing files for print

Salary:  $70,000.00 (DOE)

This is an in-office position, Monday - Friday 8:00am - 5:00pm
