Aquinas Consulting is currently looking to fill a Director of HR job in Wilmington, MA. This DIRECT job is available with one of our key customers in the aerospace industry. In this role, you will own the full range of HR responsibilities, including recruiting, onboarding, benefits and compensation, employee relations, training, compliance, and organizational development. To be successful in this position, you must have strong communication, organization, problem-solving, and leadership skills, along with the ability to work independently in a rapidly growing environment. Reporting to the company’s President, this is an opportunity to help shape the people, policies, and organizational structure of a growing technology company.

Director of HR Job Responsibilities:

  • Lead recruitment and onboarding activities while overseeing benefits and compensation, performance and wage reviews, employee development, and related HR administration.
  • Develop and lead training, counseling, coaching, leadership development, conflict resolution, and employee relations initiatives.
  • Develop and maintain HR policies and procedures, ensure workplace health and safety compliance, maintain the employee handbook, and oversee federal and state regulatory requirements.
  • Address employee concerns, conduct workplace investigations and disciplinary actions, advise leadership on leave management and employment matters, and support talent mapping and succession planning.
  • Partner with company leadership on organizational development, HR KPIs, budgeting, strategic organizational design, talent planning, and initiatives that support continued company growth.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Organizational Behavior, or a related field; Master's degree is preferred, with 7+ years of HR experience including leadership responsibilities.
  • Strong experience with recruiting, compensation, training, goal setting, performance management, leave management, coaching, and employee relations.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills with strong time management, multitasking, prioritization, organization, planning, attention to detail, and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency with Microsoft Office and other common office software, with the ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Experience working within a rapidly growing small technology business is strongly preferred, along with the initiative and resourcefulness to identify opportunities for improvement and drive projects forward with minimal supervision.
