Position OverviewTRC Talent Solutions is seeking a friendly, dependable, and customer-focused Gallery Attendant to support daily operations at a gallery location in downtown Dallas. This position is ideal for individuals who enjoy interacting with the public, creating welcoming experiences, and working in a creative environment surrounded by art and culture. The Gallery Attendant serves as a key point of contact for visitors and plays an important role in maintaining a safe, organized, and engaging gallery atmosphere.
The successful candidate will help ensure visitors have a positive experience while supporting gallery operations, protecting artwork, and assisting with general facility presentation. This temporary-to-hire opportunity offers the potential for long-term employment for candidates who demonstrate strong performance, reliability, and a commitment to excellent customer service.
Essential Duties and ResponsibilitiesGreet visitors in a professional, courteous, and welcoming manner upon arrival.
Provide information regarding current exhibits, gallery programs, events, and visitor guidelines.
Answer visitor questions and assist with wayfinding throughout the gallery space.
Monitor gallery areas to ensure artwork, displays, and property remain secure and protected at all times.
Observe visitor activity and address concerns or report issues in accordance with gallery policies and procedures.
Help maintain a clean, organized, and visually appealing environment for guests and staff.
Conduct routine walkthroughs of exhibit areas to ensure presentation standards are met.
Assist with opening and closing procedures as assigned.
Support special events, tours, educational programs, and community engagement activities when needed.
Work collaboratively with gallery staff and fellow team members to enhance the overall visitor experience.
Communicate effectively with supervisors regarding maintenance concerns, safety issues, or visitor incidents.
Perform additional duties and responsibilities as assigned.
High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
Previous experience in customer-facing roles.
Familiarity with gallery, museum, cultural institution, or event operations.
Ability to manage multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment.
Professional demeanor and strong problem-solving abilities.
Flexible and adaptable approach to changing priorities.
Ability to stand and walk for extended periods throughout the workday.
Ability to perform light cleaning and organizational tasks as needed.
Ability to occasionally lift, move, or carry items within standard workplace safety guidelines.
