Job Description
All Points Fine Finishing, based on Mount Desert Island, is focused on delivering the highest quality work and craftsmanship in painting and finishing. We are seeking a skilled and detail-oriented Painter/Finisher to join our crew.
Job Summary
The Experienced Painter/Finisher will be responsible for preparing surfaces and applying paint and other finishes to various projects across diverse jobsites in the MDI area. This role requires proficiency in various painting techniques, safe operation of tools, and a commitment to maintaining our high standards for quality and safety. The ideal candidate is patient, meticulous, and willing to share their expertise with less experienced team members.
Duties and Responsibilities
Prepare surfaces meticulously for painting, including cleaning, sanding, patching, and priming
Apply paints and finishes using various methods, such as airless spraying, brushing, and rolling
Operate and maintain painting equipment and power tools safely and efficiently
Protect surrounding areas and furnishings during preparation and painting
Perform accurate measurements and calculations for material needs and mixing ratios
Ensure proper handling and storage of materials
Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area
Collaborate effectively with crew members to meet project deadlines and quality benchmarks
Adhere to all safety protocols and standards
Qualifications and Skills
Proven experience as a skilled Painter/Finisher with a portfolio or references demonstrating high-quality work
Proficiency in surface preparation techniques suitable for high-end finishes
Expertise in various paint and finish application methods
Strong knowledge of paint products, finishes, and materials
Experience operating relevant power tools and equipment safely
Exceptional attention to detail and a commitment to craftsmanship
Patient demeanor and a willingness to mentor and teach less experienced colleagues
Ability to work effectively both independently and as part of a team
Good communication skills for coordinating with colleagues and supervisors
Basic math skills for measurements and calculations
Reliable and punctual with a strong work ethic
Commitment to maintaining a safe and clean work environment

Monday to Friday, with weekends as needed. Shift lengths vary by project (4–10 hour shifts); year-round work with overtime available. No nights.
