Licensed Manicurist and Nail Technician

Duties

• Perform professional manicure, pedicure, gel manicures, and nail extensions using safe and sanitary practices

• Apply acrylic nails and execute intricate nail art designs based on client preferences

• Conduct skin care treatments such as dermabrasion and esthetic laser procedures when qualified

• Maintain strict salon safety protocols, including disinfection procedures and sanitation standards

• Communicate effectively with clients to understand their needs, recommend services, and upsell retail products

• Assist clients with nail care advice, body waxing, hair extensions, eyelash extensions, and hair styling as needed

• Ensure all tools and workstations are properly disinfected between appointments to uphold salon safety standards

Skills

• Deep understanding of color theory to create visually appealing nail designs

• Proficiency in nail extensions, acrylic application, gel manicures, and other advanced nail techniques

• Knowledge of salon safety protocols, sanitation practices, and disinfection procedures

• Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate clearly and professionally

• Experience working in the beauty industry with a focus on nail care and esthetic treatments

• Ability to perform additional services such as hair threading, body waxing, dermabrasion, and esthetic laser treatments (nice-to-have)

• Strong retail sales skills coupled with retail math knowledge for upselling products effectively

• Familiarity with cosmetology licensing requirements and maintaining compliance with state regulations
