About this job
Job Description
At Eastern Michigan Agencies, we believe that insurance is about more than just paper and policies—it is about the people behind the businesses we serve. Located in the heart of St. Clair Shores, our office is a place where every voice is heard and every contribution is truly valued. We have built our reputation on being a stable, friendly partner for our neighbors, and we are looking for a Commercial Lines Customer Service Representative who shares our belief in treating every client like family. You will be stepping into a supportive environment where your expertise directly impacts the success and peace of mind of our local business owners. We are not interested in scripts or robotic interactions; we want you to bring your authentic personality and problem-solving skills to the table. Whether you are answering a quick coverage question or helping a client navigate a complex renewal, you will find that your work here is both meaningful and appreciated. If you are looking for a place where you can grow your career alongside a team that genuinely cares about your well-being, you have found the right home.
- Act as the primary point of contact for our commercial clients, addressing their questions and policy needs with patience and care.
- Manage policy renewals, endorsements, and audits to ensure our clients remain properly protected throughout their business lifecycle.
- Collaborate with our producers to prepare insurance applications and gather necessary documentation for new and existing accounts.
- Maintain accurate and up-to-date records within our agency management system to ensure seamless service for the entire team.
- Resolve client billing inquiries and handle certificates of insurance with precision and efficiency.
- Advocate for the client by coordinating with underwriters and insurance carriers to find solutions that align with their specific business goals.
- Active Property Casualty insurance license for the state of Michigan.
- Three or more years of experience managing commercial insurance accounts.
- Strong command of agency management software and Microsoft Office Suite.
- Clear and professional communication skills, both in writing and over the phone.
- Knowledge of insurance carrier portals and industry-standard filing practices.
- Understanding of commercial coverage forms and policy structures.
