Street Volkswagen of Amarillo is hiring for our Business Development Center. Here's what that actually means: when someone reaches out to us online, by text, phone, or email, you're the first person they talk to. You answer their questions, figure out what they're looking for, and set up a time for them to come see it. You're not closing deals or negotiating price — a salesperson handles that when they arrive. Your job is to be the person who makes them glad they reached out!

We do this differently than most dealerships. Instead of sending stock photos, we send personal videos of the actual vehicle, using technology at our desks (like a your mini YouTube or Twitch studio) for the actual customer to see. Sales experience helps, but it isn't required. Being genuinely good with people is. Bilingual is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Respond to incoming calls, texts, and online inquiries — within minutes

• Ask good questions and listen to what people actually need

• Set appointments and confirm them so customers show up

• Record short personal videos for customers (we'll teach you in your 'mini studio')

• Keep accurate notes in our computer log so nothing falls through

• Follow up with people who aren't quite ready yet

Qualifications

• You enjoy talking to people you've never met

• Clear, friendly communication in writing and on the phone

• Organized enough to follow up on time, every time

• Comfortable learning new software

• An interest in cars is a plus, not a requirement

• Customer service, hospitality, retail, or call center experience welcome — so is no experience at all, if you're the right personality

$10 - $14 hourly

• Create and fulfill a customer acquisition strategy for your sales territory
• Attend online and in-person meetings, trainings, trade shows, and sales events
• Follow up with potential customers to showcase and highlight our new products or services
• Help company stay on top of all developments related to new business opportunities, sales activities, and customer needs through our CRM
• Maintain up-to-date information on our services and products, industry, competition, and market conditions in order to present them to clients and ensure customer needs are met

• Should have working knowledge of a CRM
• Must have excellent communication, negotiation, customer service, and interpersonal skills
• Applicants should have 3-5 years of sales experience for this role
• You must have driver’s license and reliable vehicle
• Bachelor's degree or high school diploma preferred
