Unarmed Security Guard

Imperative Security Guard Services is seeking a vigilant Unarmed Security Guard to help maintain a safe, secure, and welcoming environment for clients and visitors.

Position Summary

As an Unarmed Security Guard, you will serve as a visible presence on-site, supporting the protection of people, property, and daily operations. Your professionalism, attention to detail, and calm approach help deter incidents and ensure situations are handled appropriately and efficiently.

This part-time onsite role is ideal for individuals who take pride in responsibility, communicate clearly, and follow established security procedures to maintain a secure environment.

Key Responsibilities

• Monitor assigned areas and observe for unusual or suspicious activity, promptly escalating concerns per policy.

• Patrol designated locations on foot to deter wrongdoing and identify potential safety or security risks.

• Enforce site rules and assist with access control, visitor support, and basic incident documentation.

• Respond to incidents and emergencies in a controlled manner, providing accurate updates to supervisors as needed.

• Maintain clear, timely logs of observations, patrol activity, and incident reports.

Required Qualifications

• Ability to perform patrol duties for extended periods while maintaining alertness.

• Strong situational awareness and sound judgment in dynamic environments.

• Professional communication skills with the ability to de-escalate when interacting with others.

• Reliability and the ability to follow instructions, procedures, and reporting requirements consistently.

• Willingness to work a part-time schedule as assigned to support site coverage.

Preferred Qualifications

• Prior experience in security, loss prevention, or a related public-facing role.

• Familiarity with basic incident reporting and documentation practices.

• Experience working in environments that require strong customer service and discretion.

• Comfort handling routine site access and visitor interactions while maintaining security standards.

Compensation

Hourly rate: $20 - $23
