Job Summary:

We are seeking a dynamic and detail-oriented Commercial Drywall Estimator to join our construction team. In this role, you will be responsible for preparing accurate and comprehensive cost estimates for drywall installation projects across commercial construction sites. Your expertise will help ensure project budgets are realistic, competitive, and aligned with client expectations. This position offers an exciting opportunity to contribute to large-scale projects by leveraging your estimating skills, construction industry knowledge, and technical proficiency to drive successful project outcomes.

Duties:

• Review and interpret construction drawings, blueprints, and technical specifications to determine scope of work and material requirements for drywall projects.
• Utilize estimating software such as HeavyBid, Bluebeam, and other construction management tools to develop detailed cost estimates.
• Analyze material costs, labor requirements, equipment needs, and subcontractor bids to compile accurate project budgets.
• Prepare comprehensive proposals including pricing, bid summaries, and project timelines that reflect current market conditions.
• Collaborate with clients, project managers, suppliers, and subcontractors through effective negotiation to secure competitive pricing and favorable contract terms.
• Manage project estimates from initial review through final submission while maintaining detailed spreadsheets and documentation for transparency.
• Assist in reviewing construction contracts, change orders, and project scope adjustments to ensure cost control and profitability.
• Support project management teams by providing estimation insights during project planning, scheduling, and execution phases.

Experience:

• 1+ years of experience as a construction estimator specializing in drywall or commercial interior finishes.
• Knowledge of blueprints reading, construction drawing review, and interpreting technical documents.
• Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining accuracy under tight deadlines.
• Negotiation skills combined with effective client communication capabilities.
• Construction site experience is highly desirable to better understand on-the-ground realities impacting estimates.
• Understanding of material cost estimating, pricing strategies, and cost management techniques within the commercial construction industry.
