Housekeeper- UES, NYC

A private household is seeking an experienced, professional Housekeeper to join a two-person housekeeping team in a multi-floor townhouse on the Upper East Side. This is a full-time position ideal for a detail-oriented individual who works well collaboratively, communicates clearly, and is comfortable in a formal private home environment.

Responsibilities

• Perform full housekeeping duties, including deep cleaning, dusting, vacuuming, and organizing

• Handle all laundry and ironing with care

• Maintain the overall cleanliness and upkeep of a multi-floor townhouse

• Assist with light breakfast preparation as needed

• Work closely with another full-time housekeeper to ensure seamless daily operations

• Communicate effectively with other household staff and vendors; provide clear updates following vendor visits

• Take initiative in identifying and completing tasks without requiring micromanagement

• Use care when handling cleaning equipment to avoid damage

Qualifications:

• Prior experience working in a formal private home required

• Experience in a large NYC townhouse or brownstone with a busy family is a strong plus

• Comfortable working as part of a team and coordinating with multiple staff members

• Professional, discreet, reliable, and detail-oriented

• Proactive mindset with a willingness to take initiative

• Excellent, verifiable references

Schedule: Full-time schedule with flexibility required. Candidates should be open to occasional adjustments based on household needs, including later hours for dinners or schedule changes for weekend events.

• MondayFriday, early shift: 6:00/6:30 AM 2:00 PM

• TuesdaySaturday, later shift: 9:00 AM 5:00 PM

Compensation & Benefits: Hourly rate: $40$55/hour, monthly healthcare Stipend, and PTO
