Job Description
Job Description:
Our client is a fast-growing AI enterprise B2B startup seeking Forward Deployed Strategists to own the commercial and executional success of their most strategic enterprise deployments — taking warm leads from the CEO, converting Fortune 500 executives into pilots, and driving them through to full production and account expansion.
This is a high-ownership, client-facing role for someone who combines top-tier consulting or enterprise sales rigor with the operator instincts to lead complex deployments end-to-end.
Responsibilities:
- Take warm leads from the CEO, sell 7–8 figure pilots to Fortune 500 executives, and own the full commercial relationship end-to-end.
- Scope deployments by deeply understanding customer processes, aligning complex stakeholder webs, and defining clear success metrics.
- Lead cross-functional delivery teams including Forward Deployed Engineers to execute pilots and scale to full production.
- Navigate ambiguous, high-stakes enterprise environments — managing change, mitigating blockers, and keeping executives aligned.
- Identify expansion opportunities and drive account growth from initial pilot to global scale.
Experience:
- 2+ years at MBB or Tier 2 consulting with 4+ years, OR enterprise sales/AE experience selling into Fortune 500 at a Series C+ company, OR forward-deployed experience at Palantir or similar.
- Proven customer-facing experience — must have directly owned enterprise client relationships, not just supported them.
- Strong commercial instincts — scoping, negotiating, and closing complex enterprise deals or engagements.
- Led end-to-end deployments with measurable customer outcomes — shipped pilots, hit success metrics, scaled to production.
- Carried quota or owned commercial targets at enterprise accounts.
- Enterprise stakeholder management — navigates ops through C-suite at Fortune 500s, aligns incentives, and drives change.
- Can assess what engineers are building and engage on implementation without being an engineer.
Two Archetypes:
Senior FDS (6+ years) — Enterprise sales plus project delivery with revenue targets: MBB EM/AP, Enterprise AE, Palantir-type, founder, or GTM leader
Junior FDS (2–5 years) — Customer-facing with project delivery: MBB, Tier 2 consulting, scale-up BizOps/GTM/PM/AE, or founder
