Telecommunications Technician

We are seeking an experienced Telecommunications Technician for commercial projects in the Valdosta, GA area. This position is responsible for the installation, termination, testing, troubleshooting, and maintenance of telecommunications and low-voltage systems in commercial construction and commercial client locations.

The ideal candidate is: 

- mechanically inclined

-comfortable working with hand tools and technology

-takes pride in quality workmanship 

-Can work independently while maintaining a professional presence at either commercial business offices or construction sites.

This is a hands-on field position with opportunities to develop and expand your technical skills within the telecommunications and low-voltage industry. 

Key Responsibilities: 

Install and maintain cable pathways, supports, racks, patch panels, and related telecommunications equipment.

Install, route, terminate, label, and test telecommunications and low-voltage and fiber optic cabling.

Read and interpret floor plans.

• Ability to climb ladders and work from elevated surfaces when required.
• Ability to lift, carry, and maneuver equipment and materials necessary to perform the job.

Will consider motivated candidates with limited industry experience who demonstrate aptitude, reliability, a strong work ethic, and a willingness to learn. Training may be provided for the right candidate.
