Job Summary:
Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) in a rural location on the island offers a diverse outpatient caseload with additional inpatient duties. This position involves providing physical therapy evaluations and treatments across inpatient (approximately 25%) and outpatient (approximately 75%) settings, with responsibilities extending to acute, intensive care unit (ICU), skilled nursing facility (SNF), and outpatient clinics. The role requires independence, thorough patient care, and knowledge of discharge planning, along with the ability to work in emergency room (ER), ICU, medical/surgical units (including acute, observation, and SNF), and occasionally in obstetrics (OB). The schedule comprises day shifts with 8 hours per day.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Day shifts, 8 hours per day, minimum of 40 hours per week.
- Required Qualifications: No minimum years of experience; valid Hawaii physical therapist license to be obtained as soon as possible.
- Preferred Qualifications: Experience working in inpatient, outpatient, and acute care settings; independence in care approaches; knowledge of discharge planning; ability to work in ER, ICU, Med/Surg (Acute, Observation, SNF), and outpatient clinics.
- Additional Information: Holiday pay is based on hours worked on the day of the holiday, including New Years Day, Independence Day, Thanksgiving, and Christmas Day. Upon confirmation, a message must be sent via the Medefis portal with the date of arrival and remaining compliance items to be completed.
