Job Summary:
Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) specializing in acute care at a healthcare facility in Ahoskie, North Carolina. This position involves outpatient and acute care responsibilities, with the majority of caseload comprising pediatric outpatients and some adult patients. The role requires proficiency in videofluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS) and adherence to clinical standards within the outpatient and inpatient settings.
Job Details:
- Schedule: Days, 40 hours per week, Monday through Friday, 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM.
- Required Qualifications: NC license; 12 years of experience in speech-language pathology; experience with outpatient and acute care settings; ability to perform Modified Barium Swallow Studies (MBSS); proficiency in videofluoroscopic swallow studies (VFSS); pediatric caseload management (70%), adult caseload (30%).
- Preferred Qualifications: Recent reference confirming clinical performance in similar settings.
- Additional Information: The outpatient caseload is primarily pediatric with some adult patients. The clinician must be capable of managing both outpatient and acute care responsibilities, with acute cases involving all adult patients. The position includes on-call duties every third weekend from 8:00 AM to 12:00 PM for NPO (nothing by mouth) orders only. No float rotation is required for this assignment.
