Maintenance Technician
Location: Tifton, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time | Apartment Community
About the Position
We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join an apartment community in Tifton, GA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in multifamily/apartment maintenance and be comfortable handling a variety of service requests, preventative maintenance, and general repairs throughout the community.
HVAC experience is a plus, but strong overall apartment maintenance experience is the priority.
Responsibilities
- Complete service requests and apartment make-ready work in a timely and professional manner
- Perform general maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant apartment units
- Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including toilets, faucets, sinks, drains, and minor leaks
- Perform basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, fixtures, and troubleshooting
- Repair doors, locks, cabinets, drywall, appliances, and other apartment components
- Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property
- Assist with HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and filter changes
- Maintain common areas, amenities, and grounds as needed
- Prepare vacant units for new residents
- Respond to maintenance emergencies and resident requests
- Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop and work areas
- Follow all property safety procedures and maintenance standards
- Communicate professionally with residents, management, and vendors
Ideal Candidate
- Previous apartment/multifamily maintenance experience preferred
- Strong knowledge of general apartment maintenance and repairs
- HVAC experience or EPA certification is a plus
- Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently
- Strong customer service and communication skills
- Reliable, punctual, and professional
- Comfortable working in occupied apartment homes
- Ability to use basic hand and power tools
- Must be able to pass a background check
