Maintenance Technician

Location: Tifton, GA
Employment Type: Full-Time | Apartment Community

About the Position

We are currently seeking a dependable and experienced Maintenance Technician to join an apartment community in Tifton, GA. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience in multifamily/apartment maintenance and be comfortable handling a variety of service requests, preventative maintenance, and general repairs throughout the community.

HVAC experience is a plus, but strong overall apartment maintenance experience is the priority.

Responsibilities

  • Complete service requests and apartment make-ready work in a timely and professional manner
  • Perform general maintenance and repairs in occupied and vacant apartment units
  • Troubleshoot and repair plumbing issues, including toilets, faucets, sinks, drains, and minor leaks
  • Perform basic electrical repairs, including outlets, switches, fixtures, and troubleshooting
  • Repair doors, locks, cabinets, drywall, appliances, and other apartment components
  • Perform preventative maintenance throughout the property
  • Assist with HVAC troubleshooting, repairs, and filter changes
  • Maintain common areas, amenities, and grounds as needed
  • Prepare vacant units for new residents
  • Respond to maintenance emergencies and resident requests
  • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized maintenance shop and work areas
  • Follow all property safety procedures and maintenance standards
  • Communicate professionally with residents, management, and vendors

Ideal Candidate

  • Previous apartment/multifamily maintenance experience preferred
  • Strong knowledge of general apartment maintenance and repairs
  • HVAC experience or EPA certification is a plus
  • Ability to troubleshoot problems and work independently
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Reliable, punctual, and professional
  • Comfortable working in occupied apartment homes
  • Ability to use basic hand and power tools
  • Must be able to pass a background check
