Compensation & Schedule

• $25–$35/hour, based on experience

• Field-based role with travel throughout New Jersey and New York

A growing company in the commercial security, door installation, and building maintenance industry is seeking a skilled and dependable Field Technician to join its team. We are looking for a hands-on professional with experience installing, repairing, and maintaining commercial doors and related systems.

The ideal candidate will have a strong carpentry, construction, or mechanical background and be comfortable traveling to customer locations throughout New Jersey and New York.

Responsibilities

• Install, repair, and maintain commercial doors and related systems
• Service automatic doors, overhead doors, storefront doors, and associated hardware
• Troubleshoot issues and perform repairs, adjustments, and preventative maintenance
• Perform carpentry and general construction work as needed
• Safely and effectively use hand and power tools
• Read measurements, plans, and basic technical specifications
• Travel to various customer locations throughout NJ and NY
• Provide professional and reliable service to customers
• Complete projects efficiently while maintaining quality and safety standards

Qualifications

• Hands-on experience installing, repairing, or maintaining commercial doors
• Strong carpentry, construction, or mechanical background
• Experience with automatic doors, overhead doors, or similar systems preferred
• Ability to troubleshoot and diagnose mechanical issues
• Comfortable working independently in a field-based environment
• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
• Willingness to travel throughout New Jersey and New York

Preferred Experience

Locksmith experience is a plus, particularly experience with commercial locks, door hardware, access systems, or related security equipment.
