Medical Referral Coordinator

Busy independent practice partaking in primary as well as specialty care for all ages seeks a referral specialist. This role primarily involves arranging referrals for primary care patients to specialists per the clinician's orders, but also involves some crossover with ensuring referrals/authorizations are in place for patients we see as specialists, as well. You may also help facilitate placing orders (such as MRIs, CT scans) and help facilitate scheduling these with the patients. An understanding of how to look up insurance benefits

Ideal candidates will have some prior experience with medical referrals as well as familiarity with medical billing/coding. We are hoping to find a team member who enjoys working in a fast-paced environment, enjoys working with others as well as with patients, has strong communication skills, is proactive and reliable. This is an integral role to providing excellent patient care. Spanish-speaking would be a plus but is certainly not required.
