Machine Technician

Job Title: Machine Technician (2nd Shift)
Pay Rate: $23 - 26/hr (depending on exp.) + shift differential
Location: East Providence, RI 02914
Duration: Temp-Perm
Shift: M-F 2nd Shift, (3:00pm-11:30pm)

JOB SUMMARY:
The Machine Technician is responsible for CNC-machined finishing components by removing burrs, sharp edges, and imperfections to ensure parts meet quality and safety standards. This role requires attention to detail, manual dexterity, and adherence to production schedules.

Responsibilities:

• Inspect CNC-machined parts for burrs, sharp edges, and surface imperfections.
• Deburr and finish parts using hand tools, power tools, and automated equipment such as grinders, sanders, and tumblers.
• Follow work instructions, blueprints, specifications, and quality standards.
• Accurately document completed work and report any defects or issues to the supervisor.
• Handle and protect parts properly to prevent damage during the finishing process.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work area while following all company safety procedures.
• Work closely with CNC operators and Quality Control to identify and resolve part issues.
• Safely operate equipment and handle, move, and cut materials as required.
• Follow direction from supervisors and complete assigned tasks efficiently.
• Work as part of a team and assist with operating multiple CNC machines and manual equipment when needed.
• Communicate effectively with supervisors and coworkers.
• Follow all company policies, procedures, and safety requirements.
• Perform other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• High School Diploma or GED
• Ability to read, write, speaks, hear and comprehend the English language.
• Experience in manufacturing or machining environment preferred.
• CNC Machine experience preferred.
• Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and work instructions.
• Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity.
• Basic knowledge of measurement tools (calipers, micrometers) is a plus.
