Legal Intake Coorinator

Position: Claims Investigator

Schedule: Full-Time

We are seeking a detail-oriented and analytical Claims Investigator to join a growing legal services organization in Newark, NJ. This position is responsible for investigating claims, reviewing documentation, identifying inconsistencies, gathering supporting information, and helping determine the validity and accuracy of claims.

The ideal candidate is naturally curious, highly organized, comfortable conducting research, and able to analyze information from multiple sources. Experience in claims, insurance, legal services, investigations, fraud detection, or case management is strongly preferred.

Key Responsibilities

• Investigate claims and review supporting documentation for accuracy and completeness
• Conduct detailed research using available databases, public records, and other resources
• Identify discrepancies, inconsistencies, missing information, or potential areas of concern
• Contact relevant parties to gather additional information and documentation
• Review records, correspondence, reports, and other claim-related materials
• Document investigative findings clearly and accurately
• Prepare summaries and reports outlining findings and recommended next steps
• Maintain organized electronic case files and detailed investigation notes
• Work closely with internal legal, claims, and operations teams
• Manage multiple active investigations while meeting established deadlines
• Maintain strict confidentiality when handling sensitive information

Qualifications

• Previous experience in claims investigation, insurance claims, legal services, fraud investigation, case management, or a related field preferred
• Strong investigative and research skills
• Excellent attention to detail and ability to identify inconsistencies
• Strong written and verbal communication skills
• Comfortable speaking with claimants, attorneys, insurance representatives, and other parties
• Ability to review and interpret detailed documentation
• Strong organizational and time-management skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office and electronic case-management systems
• Ability to work independently while managing multiple priorities

Candidates with experience as a Claims Investigator, Claims Examiner, Claims Specialist, SIU Investigator, Insurance Investigator, Fraud Investigator, Legal Investigator, Claims Adjuster, or Case Investigator are encouraged to apply.
