Auto Parts Delivery Driver

Job description

Tasca Automotive Group has an Immediate opening for a delivery driver for our parts department. Our routes are very manageable and you will always be home by dinner.

Duties will include but are not limited to:

Make assigned deliveries daily from Cranston. 85% of our stops are all in RI. There are some fringe customers across each border to MA and CT. Nothing long distance or overnight, etc. Basic daily routes.

Run “911” or hot shot deliveries, as well, or provide route coverage and overflow assistance.

Provide assistance to the warehouse as needed with picking parts, putting stock away, organizing drivers areas, assembling orders, processing returns, etc. when routes are slow or you return early.

Checking of pre-staged parts for your route against invoices for accuracy every morning when loading the vehicle and addressing any issues before departure.

Owning your route, ensuring accuracy for every part you put on your truck against what the invoice states, and correcting any issues that may develop with customer while on the road if possible.

Converse with customers and provide excellent customer service at stops.

Pick up returns from customers, fill out the provided return slips, and ensure accuracy of info and coding for returns dept.

Keeping your vehicle clean of totes, trash, and parts at end of work day.

Reporting any maintenance issues to fleet supervisor or management.

Qualified candidates must:

Have great attention to detail

Route driving experience is a plus

Have the ability to work in a team environment

Have excellent communication skills

Possess organizational skills to keep track of paperwork

Must be able to lift at least 25 lbs

Must be able to pass a background check

Be able to drive all “transit van” type vehicles, including a small box truck or possible small lift gate type truck if needed on limited occasions. Or the willingness to learn if needed

Bigger box truck experience a plus for bulkier special deliveries if needed
