Teacher Assistant- Early Childhood Education

First Baptist Church Child Development Center in Clayton is seeking caring, dependable Teacher Assistants and Floaters to join our team.

We are a Christian, licensed childcare center serving children from infancy through preschool. We are looking for individuals who genuinely enjoy working with young children, can provide active supervision, and are ready to be a positive, dependable part of our center.

Schedule: Monday–Friday, 9:00 AM–6:00 PM
Pay: Based on education and experience

Responsibilities include supporting lead teachers in the classroom, maintaining active supervision and ratio, assisting with meals, diapering/toileting, cleaning and classroom organization, supporting children’s learning and behavior, and covering classrooms as needed.

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or GED required
• EDU 119 or other qualifying North Carolina early childhood credentials preferred
• Previous experience in a licensed childcare facility strongly preferred
• Current NC qualifying letter preferred, or ability to obtain one
• Must be dependable, professional, patient, and able to work as part of a team
• Must be able to meet all North Carolina childcare licensing requirements
