Delivery Driver

PVC Fence supply, a leader in fence supply, is looking for a dedicated and safety-conscious Delivery Driver to join our team. As a Delivery Driver, you will be responsible for ensuring timely and accurate delivery of PVC fencing materials to our customers while properly handling materials and maintaining delivery equipment, including trucks and forklifts. This role is essential to the smooth operation of our business and our commitment to delivering exceptional service.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Safe and Efficient Delivery:

• Load and unload PVC fence materials, including posts, rails, and panels, ensuring products are securely transported.
• Deliver products to customers on assigned routes, ensuring timely and accurate deliveries.
• Operate delivery vehicles (box trucks, flatbeds, etc.) in a safe, professional manner, adhering to traffic laws and company policies.
• Verify accuracy of orders during loading and unloading to ensure customer satisfaction.

2. Material Handling:

• Safely operate forklifts to load and unload materials at the warehouse and delivery sites.
• Inspect materials for damage or discrepancies during handling and report any issues to management.
• Secure materials for transport to prevent damage during delivery.

3. Equipment Maintenance:

• Perform routine inspections and basic maintenance of delivery trucks and forklifts (e.g., checking fluid levels, tire pressure, and brakes).
• Keep delivery vehicles clean and organized, and report any mechanical issues or repairs needed to the supervisor.
• Follow company protocols for equipment maintenance and care.

4. Customer Service:

• Provide excellent customer service by communicating delivery times, handling any concerns, and ensuring smooth handoff of products at the delivery site.
• Assist customers with unloading, if necessary, and ensure products are placed in the designated areas at the site.

5. Safety & Compliance:

• Adhere to all company safety protocols, including proper use of personal protective equipment (PPE) and safe handling of materials.
• Ensure compliance with all traffic laws, safety regulations, and company policies during deliveries and while operating equipment.
• Report any accidents, incidents, or near-misses to management immediately.

Requirements:

• Valid Florida Driver’s License and a clean driving record.
• Experience operating delivery trucks and forklifts (forklift certification is a plus).
• Experience in delivery driving, especially handling large or bulky materials (preferred).
• Ability to lift and move heavy materials (up to 50 lbs).
• Familiarity with GPS and other navigation tools.
• Strong attention to detail and excellent time management skills.
• Good communication skills with a customer-service-oriented attitude.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Reliable, punctual, and dedicated to high-quality work.
