HVAC Service Technician

Responsibilities

HVAC Service, Repair & Maintenance

• Inspect, diagnose, repair, and maintain residential and commercial HVAC systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance services to ensure optimal system performance.
• Install and replace HVAC components as needed.
• Recommend repair or replacement solutions based on system evaluations.

Troubleshooting & Diagnostics

• Identify electrical, mechanical, and system-related issues.
• Perform accurate troubleshooting and efficient repairs.
• Ensure all work is completed in compliance with local codes and industry standards.

Customer Service

• Communicate clearly with customers regarding service findings and repair recommendations.
• Educate customers on equipment operation and preventative maintenance.
• Deliver a professional, customer-focused experience on every service call.

Documentation & Reporting

• Complete service reports, work orders, and required paperwork accurately and on time.
• Maintain records of repairs, parts usage, and maintenance performed.
• Assist with inventory tracking and parts requests.

Safety & Compliance

• Follow all company safety policies and industry regulations.
• Properly handle refrigerants and other regulated materials.
• Stay current on HVAC technologies, codes, and best practices.

Qualifications

• 3+ years of HVAC service experience.
• Strong knowledge of residential and commercial HVAC systems.
• Ability to diagnose and repair heating, cooling, and ventilation equipment.
• Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills.
• Ability to work independently and manage service schedules effectively.
• Strong communication and customer service skills.
• EPA Certification required.
• HVAC license/certification required.
• Valid driver's license with a clean driving record.
• Technical school training or HVAC trade certification is a plus.
