Dispatcher

We are seeking a dependable, organized, and proactive Dispatcher to coordinate daily field operations and ensure employees are properly scheduled, informed, and supported. The Dispatcher will serve as a key point of contact between field employees, customers, recruiters, and internal operations.

The ideal candidate is an excellent communicator who can manage multiple priorities, solve problems quickly, and stay organized in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities
  • Coordinate and dispatch employees to assigned job sites and projects.
  • Confirm employees are scheduled, prepared, and aware of job-site locations, start times, and reporting instructions.
  • Conduct daily check-ins and verify employees have arrived at their assigned job sites.
  • Communicate schedule changes, call-offs, late arrivals, and other attendance issues to the appropriate internal team and customers.
  • Quickly assist with filling last-minute call-offs or manpower needs.
  • Maintain accurate employee schedules, assignments, attendance records, and dispatch notes.
  • Communicate with field employees regarding project updates, schedule changes, travel details, and job-site expectations.
  • Coordinate with recruiters and account managers regarding upcoming manpower requirements and employee availability.
  • Help troubleshoot employee issues involving directions, job-site contacts, scheduling, transportation, or assignment details.
  • Track project start dates, end dates, employee transfers, and assignment changes.
  • Maintain professional and responsive communication with both employees and customers.
  • Escalate employee performance, attendance, safety, or customer concerns to management when appropriate.
  • Assist with additional administrative and operational duties as needed.
Qualifications
  • Previous dispatching, staffing, construction, logistics, or workforce coordination experience preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer-service skills.
  • Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Ability to multitask and prioritize urgent situations.
  • Comfortable making and receiving a high volume of phone calls and text messages.
  • Strong computer skills and ability to learn scheduling, CRM, and workforce-management systems.
  • Ability to remain calm and professional when handling call-offs, schedule changes, and other last-minute issues.
  • Dependable, responsive, and comfortable taking ownership of problems through resolution.
