Medical Assistant/RN

The Medical Assistant/RN serves in a clinic or outpatient setting supporting the delivery of healthcare primarily to adult patients. Working under supervision, this role involves providing clinical support, patient care, and administrative assistance to ensure efficient and effective healthcare services. The position includes occasional travel and emphasizes collaboration within a healthcare team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor and record patient vital signs
• Administer medications as directed
• Document patient information accurately in electronic health records
• Schedule patient appointments and manage clinical workflows
• Provide patient education on health management and procedures
• Ensure proper sterilization of equipment and maintain infection control
• Support clinical staff in various medical procedures
• Communicate effectively with patients and healthcare team members
• Collaborate with the healthcare team to optimize patient care

Required Qualifications

• Certified Medical Assistant (CMA) or equivalent certification

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in medical assisting
• Phlebotomy skills
• Medication administration proficiency
• Familiarity with patient scheduling software and electronic health records (EHR)
• Basic Life Support (BLS) certification
• Knowledge of infection control practices
• Strong communication, time management, and teamwork abilities
