About the Opportunity
Are you a construction leader who thrives on turning blueprints into vibrant communities?
Our client, a premier, well-established construction firm in Indianapolis, is looking for a dynamic Construction Project Manager to spearhead high-profile multifamily apartment complexes. This isn't just about managing a job site; it's about leading a collaborative team, driving millions of dollars in project value, and shaping the Indianapolis skyline.
If you have a proven track record in multifamily residential construction and want to own projects from pre-construction to closeout with a company that values autonomy and results, let’s talk.
Why You’ll Love Working Here
Project Ownership: Lead major ground-up developments from day one.
Strong Pipeline: Join a stable, growing firm with a deep backlog of local projects.
Collaborative Culture: Work alongside elite superintendents, designers, and executives in a results-driven environment.
What You’ll Do (Key Responsibilities)
As the Multifamily Project Manager, you will run the show from the pre-construction phase through the final punch list:
Project Leadership: Mastermind the planning, budgeting, and scheduling for premier apartment developments.
Stakeholder Synergy: Serve as the primary point of contact for project owners, architects, engineers, and subcontractors.
Financial Oversight: Manage project budgets, track costs, negotiate contracts, and process change orders to maximize profitability.
Schedule Champion: Create and maintain detailed master schedules, proactively pivoting to keep projects on track.
Documentation & Compliance: Oversee RFIs, submittals, safety regulations, and contract documents with sharp attention to detail.
Team Mentorship: Lead regular project meetings and mentor junior team members to foster a collaborative culture.
What You Bring (Qualifications & Skills)
Experience: 4+ years of experience as a Construction Project Manager, specifically leading ground-up multifamily apartment complexes or high-density residential developments.
Tech-Savvy: Proficiency with modern construction management software (e.g., Procore, Bluebeam, Primavera P6, or MS Project).
Leadership Toolkit: Strong negotiation skills, a sharp eye for pre-construction bidding, and excellent subcontractor relations.
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Civil Engineering, or a related field is highly preferred.
