Job Summary:
The Physical Therapist Outpatient (PT OP) position is located in an outpatient setting within a healthcare organization. This role involves treating patients, primarily with musculoskeletal (MSK) and orthopedic conditions, across various outpatient clinics. The therapist will be responsible for providing patient care that aligns with established clinical guidelines and certifications.

Job Details:

  • Schedule: 8-hour shifts, typically from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM, 9:30 AM to 6:00 PM, or 10:30 AM to 7:00 PM. A 10-hour shift option is available from 8:00 AM to 6:30 PM. The majority of shifts are scheduled five days per week, with all clinics operating on Fridays from 8:00 AM to 4:30 PM.
  • Required Qualifications: Certifications include BLS Certification; Illinois License (which can be pending at the time of employment). Candidates should have at least 1 year of outpatient therapy experience preferred, with flexibility, teamwork, accountability, and adaptability.
  • Preferred Qualifications: Experience with common diagnoses such as MSK and orthopedic conditions, familiarity with neuro specializations, and the ability to work as part of a team in outpatient environments.
  • Additional Information: The role involves working within a clinical setting specializing in outpatient care for patients aged 8-100. Therapists are expected to treat 8-10 patients per day and may float within a 5-mile radius of designated sites. The outpatient setting is dedicated solely to outpatient therapy, with no inpatient or acute rehab responsibilities. The department promotes patient continuity within the same team setting.
  • Other Details: No weekend or holiday shifts required. Business casual dress code applies. HR orientation occurs on day one, followed by 2-3 days of charting block training. Clinicians with a permanent address within 50 miles of the facility will be offered a rate of $7.00 less than the base rate of their position.
