Logistics Specialist
12-Month Contract
Monday-Friday 8AM-4PM
Position Summary Responsible for collecting, entering, and auditing Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing (MEP) equipment specifications within Computerized Maintenance Management System (CMMS) tooling to ensure accurate facility asset records for data centers.
Key Responsibilities
- Enter MEP equipment specifications into CMMS tooling, capturing Site, Room Location, Build ID, application, barcode Asset Tag ID, Manufacturer, Model, Serial Number, and Tag Plate ID.
- Utilize existing tooling dropdown selections for the majority of data entries; assign asset categories for newly identified manufacturers or models.
- Submit collected asset data to CMMS Engineers for review and accuracy validation prior to final system upload.
- Perform comprehensive equipment audits within legacy data centers by scanning existing asset tag IDs into CMMS audit tooling.
- Validate existing asset specifications, apply necessary updates, and gather details for any newly identified equipment discovered during site audits.
Required Skills
- MEP Equipment Identification: Visually identify Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Safety equipment types.
- CMMS/EAM Data-Entry Accuracy: Correctly input Site, Location, Build ID, Asset Tag ID, Manufacturer, Model, Serial, and Tag Plate ID via tooling.
- Barcode Scanning & Audit: Scan asset tags into audit tooling to validate and update existing records.
Qualifications & Experience
- Experience: 1+ years in asset collection, facilities/MEP operations, or CMMS data entry preferred; entry-level candidates considered with strong equipment-identification aptitude.
- Education & Technical Skills: High school diploma required; basic proficiency in Windows and Excel; foundational ability to identify Mechanical, Electrical, and Fire Safety equipment.
