Pride Health is hiring a Phlebotomist I – Float to support our client's healthcare facility in Pennsauken, NJ. This is a 13 weeks contract role (with high possibility of extension or conversion) offering a great opportunity for experience to excel in a dynamic environment.

Duties:
- Perform accurate venipuncture and blood specimen collection using straight and butterfly needles.
- Collect specimens from patients of all ages.
- Properly explain the venipuncture and specimen collection process to patients in a clear and courteous manner.
- Update and verify patient information in the appropriate systems.
- Label, centrifuge, split, freeze, and prepare specimens according to test requirements.
- Package specimens appropriately for transportation while maintaining specimen integrity.
- Store specimens according to required temperature and handling protocols.
- Record maintenance and decontamination activities as required.
- Education: High School Diploma or GED required.
- Years of experience: Minimum 6 months of venipuncture experience in a fast-paced laboratory, Patient Service Center, or hospital environment.
- Skills/Specialties/Technology: Strong phlebotomy skills, including pediatric and geriatric collections.
