What will you be doing?
* Solicit and develop new business opportunities through client visits, telephone prospecting, networking, and relationship-building activities to achieve assigned revenue goals.
* Serve as the primary contact for corporate, social, and catering clients, responding to inquiries, conducting property tours, and promoting hotel facilities, services, and event capabilities.
* Prepare and present proposals, contracts, menus, and client correspondence in a professional, accurate, and timely manner.
* Plan, coordinate, and detail events and meetings, ensuring all client requirements are communicated effectively to operational departments for successful execution.
* Oversee event implementation and provide on-site support, working closely with hotel departments to ensure service excellence and guest satisfaction.
* Maintain strong client relationships through proactive communication and follow-up, ensuring repeat business, client retention, and positive guest experiences.
* Monitor market conditions, industry trends, and competitor activity to identify business opportunities and maintain a competitive position in the marketplace.
* Prepare and maintain sales reports, forecasts, client records, and administrative documentation to support business planning and revenue generation efforts.
* Represent the hotel at community, business, networking, and special events, actively promoting the property and maintaining involvement in industry and organizational committees.
* Participate in departmental meetings, support hotel and corporate policies and procedures, and perform additional duties as assigned to achieve departmental and organizational objectives.
What do you bring to the role?
* High school diploma or equivalent. College degree preferred.
* Previous hotel or Catering Sales experience preferred.
* Good oral and written communication skills.
* Understanding the pace and expectations of guests in the hotel industry.
* Proficient computer and typing skills.
* Organizational skills with the ability to handle multiple projects and the ability to change assignments often with short notice.
* Analytical and mathematical skills necessary to calculate room blocks, event costs, budgets, forecasts, rates, and other sales-related metrics.
* Ability to conduct hotel tours, attend client meetings, represent the hotel professionally, and travel for outside sales activities as needed.
* Ability to accurately enter, retrieve, and manage information while maintaining professionalism, strong telephone etiquette, and responsiveness to client inquiries.
* Ability to work a flexible schedule, meet departmental sales and financial objectives, and perform the physical requirements of the role, including standing, walking, and moving throughout the property as necessary.
