DESCRIPTION OF WORK
This position performs semi-skilled maintenance and repair work that supports buildings, grounds, and facilities throughout Ohiopyle State Park. Your work will involve hands-on tasks that keep park areas safe, clean, and ready for visitors. As a seasonal Park Maintenance Worker, you will perform the following duties:
- Building Repairs: Make basic repairs to park buildings and facilities using carpentry, electrical, plumbing, and related trades tools
- Grounds Care: Mow grass, cut brush, clean paved areas, plant trees, load materials, and maintain turf areas
- Equipment Operation: Operate tractors, skid steers, zero turns, dump trucks, and other park equipment
- Custodial Tasks: Clean restrooms, sanitize facilities, service specialized Clivus-Multrum systems, and maintain cleanliness
- General Maintenance: Paint signs and buildings, clear drains and culverts, empty trash, assist with concrete work, and shovel snow
- Visitor Assistance: Provide helpful information to park visitors and complete required forms and records

Work Schedule and Additional Information:
- This is a seasonal, full-time position with no healthcare benefits. There is not an option to buy into health care benefits. The season runs from approximately March 2026 until November 2026 at which time the employee will be placed on leave without pay. The employee will automatically be returned to employment in approximately March 2027.
- Work hours are 7:00 AM to 3:00 PM, with a 30-minute lunch. Work will be scheduled 37.5 hours/5 days per week to include holidays and weekends as needed. Days and shifts will vary.
- Telework: You will not have the option to telework in this position.

QUALIFICATIONS
Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:
- One year of experience in laboring work including the use of tools and equipment used in maintenance or construction; or
- An equivalent combination of experience and training.
