General Description
This is a professional and administrative position with the Housing and Urban Planning Division that requires a candidate with thorough income certification experience and knowledge in the administering, implementing, and monitoring of affordable housing and/or community development programs funded from local, state or federal government sources. Knowledge of residential mortgage loan underwriting and experience with closing residential real estate transactions is required.
(One year of relevant experience may be substituted for each year of required education.)
Requires one (1) year of experience in mortgage loan origination, loan processing, apartment leasing, housing program compliance monitoring or enforcement, community development or closely related experience.

Preferences
- Masters degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, finance, planning, sociology, or closely related field.
- Doctorate degree from an accredited college or university with major coursework in business or public administration, finance, planning, sociology, or closely related field.

The functions listed below are those that represent the majority of the time spent working in this class. Management may assign additional functions related to the type of work of the job as necessary.
This is a professional and administrative position with the Housing and Urban Planning Division. This position is responsible for the day-to-day administration, management, compliance, and direct oversight of the project bound Pompano Beach Residential Advisory Board (RAB) home rehabilitation program.
Coordinates, oversees, and administers the RAB program related to the major and minor rehabilitation programs, and may include other types of housing assistance programs that has operational responsibility of a major scope, and/or a large-sized budget.
Reviews and approves contractor's request for payments to ensure accuracy of payments and billing; reviews and approves initial scope of work and change orders on housing rehabilitation projects; may conduct periodic housing rehabilitation project inspections to ensure quality performance.
Coordinates meetings with consultants and contractors to review progress of work and manage all aspects of the project.
Assists in resolving any outstanding issues and problems; attends staff meetings, meetings with clients, contractors, and local, State and Federal officials.
Prepares schedules, reports, related correspondence, and data which may include monthly, quarterly, and annual reports.
Performs related work as required.
