Special Education Teacher | Arivaca, Arizona

This contract opportunity, located near Arivaca, AZ, begins as soon as possible. Qualifications and Experience:

• Certified Special Education Teacher, with preference for candidates holding mild-moderate or learning disability certification
• Experience developing and implementing IEPs for middle school students
• Strong understanding of inclusive education practices and differentiated instruction
• Excellent classroom management, communication, and collaboration skills
• Ability to foster positive relationships with students, families, and colleagues

Primary Responsibilities:

• Provide tailored instruction to students in a resource classroom, supporting academic and social-emotional growth
• Adapt and modify curriculum materials to meet individual learning needs
• Work collaboratively with general education teachers and support staff to facilitate inclusion and accommodations
• Maintain accurate documentation of student progress and complete required reporting
• Frequently communicate with families and participate in IEP meetings
• Create a positive, structured, and engaging learning environment from 7am to 3pm each day
