Job Description
This role focuses on assembling overhead garage doors using hand and power tools, following detailed blueprints and schematics to ensure each product meets precise client specifications. You will complete the assembly process by boxing and packaging finished products and performing light wiring tasks as needed.
Responsibilities- Assemble overhead garage doors accurately using hand tools and power tools.
- Read and interpret blueprints and schematics to follow assembly directions and specifications.
- Use measuring tapes to verify dimensions and ensure all products meet client requirements.
- Perform light wiring tasks as needed to complete the assembly of garage doors.
- Box and package assembled products in a neat and secure manner for shipment or storage.
- Handle tools such as wrenches, drills, and other fabrication equipment safely and efficiently.
- Follow shop procedures and quality standards to maintain consistency and reliability in all assemblies.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area to support safety and productivity.
- Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or discrepancies in parts, measurements, or documentation.
- Minimum of 6 months of mechanical assembly experience.
- Ability to read and interpret blueprints and schematics for assembly work.
- Proficient in using measuring tapes to confirm accurate dimensions.
- Skilled in using hand tools such as wrenches for assembly tasks.
- Experience operating power tools including drills in a fabrication or shop environment.
- Basic understanding of light wiring procedures related to product assembly.
- Strong attention to detail to ensure products meet specific client requirements.
- Ability to follow written and visual instructions accurately and consistently.
- Experience working in a fabrication or manufacturing shop environment.
- Familiarity with general fabrication processes such as basic welding or drilling.
- Comfort working with various hand and power tools in a fast-paced setting.
- Ability to stand for extended periods and perform repetitive assembly tasks.
- Strong commitment to safety practices in a shop environment.
- Reliability and punctuality in meeting production schedules and deadlines.

Work EnvironmentThis position is based in a fabrication shop that can be loud and subject to varying temperatures, including hot and cold conditions. The shop is relatively small, which means you work in close proximity to equipment and team members. You regularly use hand and power tools such as wrenches and drills and may work around welding and other fabrication processes. You should be comfortable in an industrial setting, wearing appropriate work attire and safety gear suitable for a noisy, temperature-variable shop environment.

Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $19.00 - $23.00/hr.
