Job Title: Manufacturing Technician 2nd Shift AssemblyJob Description

This is an exciting opportunity to join a distinguished Microbiology Division where you will contribute to the production of products that make a significant impact in a manufacturing setting. Operators will engage in the manufacturing process of agars, including loading product, checking volumes, ensuring quality, and more.

Responsibilities
  • Efficiently and safely operate assigned machinery and perform simple maintenance, reporting any malfunctioning equipment immediately.
  • Set up and adjust machine settings to accommodate different sizes.
  • Obtain necessary materials for operations from the warehouse or staging area.
  • Organize production flow to ensure materials are available, estimate progress, and schedule breaks in accordance with the production time schedule.
  • Accurately document and check personal work for quality and compliance, monitor products for defects, and assist with the inventory process.
  • Dispense required additives to media and perform techniques to achieve proper pH balance, investigating and remedying potential production failures.
  • Follow all written procedures and report any discrepancies to the Area Supervisor.
  • Perform all work activities safely and wear personal protective equipment as required.
  • Report property damage or safety hazards immediately to the appropriate personnel.
  • Complete production assignments timely and in accordance with departmental schedules.
  • Accurately sign off on DHRs and fill in pertinent information as per SOPs.
Essential Skills
  • Experience in manufacturing, GMP, and production support.
  • Ability to comprehend and communicate using the English language, both written and verbally.
  • Proficiency in basic math skills.
  • Capability to lift up to 50 lbs. and push/pull up to 600 lb. wheeled kettles.
  • Ability to stand for sustained periods, approximately 10 hours a day.
  • Ability to see and distinguish colors.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent from an accredited institution.
  • Experience within kit production or large-scale manufacturing is advantageous.
  • Willingness to train individuals with minimal relevant experience or those possessing a science AS or BS degree.
Work Environment

The work environment consists of a laboratory/cleanroom setting, operating on a 2nd shift schedule from 2:00 PM to 10:30 PM. This role offers an excellent opportunity for growth and gaining experience in GMP within a global company.

This is a Contract position based out of FREDERICK, MD.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.09 - $21.09/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
