Job Description
The Solar Laborer supports mechanical solar construction activities on a utility-scale solar project, contributing to the installation and assembly of solar systems in an outdoor, field-based environment.
Responsibilities- Support mechanical construction tasks on a utility-scale solar project, focusing on solar system installation and assembly.
- Assist with racking installation, including positioning, assembling, and securing racking components according to project specifications.
- Perform plug-and-play installation tasks, ensuring proper connection and placement of solar components and equipment.
- Handle, move, and stage solar materials and equipment safely and efficiently at the work site.
- Follow instructions from site supervisors and team leads to complete assigned tasks on schedule and in accordance with quality standards.
- Operate basic hand tools and equipment required for solar construction tasks, maintaining tools in safe working condition.
- Work outdoors in varying weather conditions while maintaining safety, productivity, and attention to detail.
- Adhere to all site safety policies and procedures, including the proper use of personal protective equipment and safe work practices.
- Collaborate with crew members to complete daily work plans and meet production goals.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, disposing of waste materials properly and supporting site housekeeping efforts.
- Experience working on solar construction projects or in a similar construction labor role.
- Ability to perform racking installation tasks for utility-scale solar systems.
- Ability to complete plug-and-play installation activities for solar components and equipment.
- Comfort working outdoors in a physically demanding role, including standing, lifting, and repetitive movements.
- Ability to follow detailed instructions and work within established construction processes and standards.
- Commitment to working safely and following all site safety rules and procedures.
- Reliability to work extended hours and a consistent weekly schedule.
- Prior experience in solar, renewable energy, or general construction environments.
- Familiarity with basic hand tools and construction equipment commonly used in solar installation.
- Ability to work effectively as part of a crew and communicate clearly with team members and supervisors.
- Strong work ethic and willingness to work extended hours when needed to support project schedules.

Work EnvironmentThis role is based outdoors in the elements on a utility-scale solar construction site. The schedule typically runs Monday through Saturday, with approximately 60 hours per week, requiring comfort with extended workdays. The environment is construction-focused, with standard safety practices, equipment, and personal protective gear used throughout the site.
Job Type & LocationThis is a Permanent position based out of Moro, AR.
Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $33000.00 - $45000.00/yr.
Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
