Job Title: General Production WorkerJob Description

The General Production Worker supports efficient production operations by properly melting and transferring butter to designated holding tanks, minimizing product loss through careful draining, and assisting with general labor, packaging, machine operation, and material handling tasks. This role contributes directly to product quality, safety, and overall production flow in a fast-paced facility.

Responsibilities
  • Melt butter according to established procedures and transfer product to the correct holding tanks.
  • Minimize product loss by properly draining equipment and lines during and after production runs.
  • Operate production and packaging machinery safely and efficiently following all standard operating procedures.
  • Perform general production and labor tasks, including loading materials, packing finished product, and staging items as needed.
  • Conduct basic inspections of product and equipment to identify visible defects, irregularities, or safety concerns.
  • Assist with troubleshooting minor issues on production lines and equipment, and promptly report problems to appropriate personnel.
  • Follow written and verbal instructions accurately to complete daily production tasks.
  • Work effectively as part of a team to meet production goals and maintain smooth workflow across shifts.
  • Maintain accurate, legible records and documentation related to production activities and product handling.
  • Adhere to all safety, quality, and cleanliness standards within the production facility.
  • Support general housekeeping in work areas, keeping equipment and surrounding spaces clean and organized.

  • Ability to follow directions and carry out instructions reliably and consistently.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team environment and collaborate with coworkers.
  • Ability to legibly write entries for record keeping and production documentation.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.

  • Basic ability to operate production and packaging machinery with appropriate training.
  • Willingness to perform repetitive tasks and stand for extended periods as required by production operations.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
  • Experience with general production or manufacturing work is helpful.
  • Background in machine operation or machine operating is beneficial.
  • Exposure to packaging, packing, and inspection activities is an advantage.
  • Familiarity with forklift operation and material loading is a plus.
  • Comfort with basic troubleshooting of production processes and equipment is desirable.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $21.00 - $21.00/hr.

Individual compensation offered for this position within this range will depend on many factors, including qualifications, skills, relevant experience, job knowledge, geographic location, internal equity, and other pertinent job-related factors.
