Accounting Supervisor

•Key Skills:
oStrong analytical skills; not just a task-doer but able to review and analyze
oExperience supervising or managing at least 1-2 people
oAbility to coach and review work of specialists
oHigh attention to detail due to large weekly payment volumes (over $60M/week to ~600 growers)
oSolid accounting foundation, especially in reconciliations and balance sheet management
oStrong Excel skills; familiarity with Oracle and Driscoll’s GGS settlement engine
oComfortable with high-volume, deadline-driven environment
oFast learner, self-starter, and adaptable personality
•Education: Accounting degree required; CPA not required; experience more important than credentials
•Industry Experience: Open to candidates without agriculture background; manufacturing/inventory accounting experience is acceptable
Scope of Work & Responsibilities
•Grower Accounting:
oOversee weekly grower payments, review and validate specialist work
oEnsure accuracy in packaging deductions and share percentages
oCoach and support specialists and senior accountant
•Cost Accounting:
oSupport project-based work (e.g., process documentation, workflow improvements)
oAnalyze reports and data, partner with finance for value-add analytics
oReview work of senior cost accountants, help push projects and process improvements
•Split: Estimated 50% grower support, 50% cost accounting/project supportRevenue Recognition Accounting, ASC 606, Revenue Accounting, HealthCare Revenue Cycle, Accounts Receivable (AR), Accounting close process, Cost Accounting, Account Reconciliation
