Medical Imaging Field Service Engineer - Permanent (S)

We are seeking a highly skilled and motivated Field Service Engineer specializing in SPECT (Single Photon Emission Computed Tomography) and PET/CT (Positron Emission Tomography/Computed Tomography) medical imaging cameras.

The ideal candidate will possess a strong technical background in medical imaging equipment, with a focus on ensuring optimal performance, calibration, and maintenance of complex imaging systems.

This role offers the opportunity to work directly with cutting-edge technology, providing essential service support to healthcare providers and ensuring the highest standards of diagnostic imaging quality. 

Duties:

• Install, configure, and commission SPECT and PET/CT imaging systems at healthcare facilities, ensuring compliance with manufacturer specifications. 
• Perform routine preventive maintenance and troubleshooting to minimize system downtime and optimize performance. 
• Conduct calibration procedures to ensure accurate imaging results, utilizing schematics and technical manuals. 
• Diagnose and repair equipment issues efficiently, utilizing hand tools, computer hardware knowledge, and OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) guidelines. 
• Maintain detailed service records within Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS), documenting repairs, calibrations, and inspections. 
• Collaborate with clinical staff to resolve operational issues and provide technical training on system use and basic maintenance. 
• Interpret schematics and mechanical drawings to identify system components and facilitate repairs or upgrades. 
• Support equipment upgrades, software updates, and DME (Durable Medical Equipment) compliance requirements as needed. 

Qualifications 

• Proven experience in field service roles within the medical imaging or healthcare technology sector, specifically with OEM systems. 
• Strong mechanical knowledge combined with hands-on experience using hand tools for equipment repair and maintenance. 
• Familiarity with CMMS platforms for tracking service activities and managing maintenance schedules. 
• Knowledge of computer hardware components relevant to medical imaging systems and troubleshooting skills in this area. 
• Experience in calibration procedures for complex imaging equipment to ensure diagnostic accuracy. 
• Ability to read schematics, technical manuals, and electrical diagrams effectively. 
• Excellent problem-solving skills with a focus on equipment repair, troubleshooting, and system optimization.
