Position Overview

A nonprofit acute care hospital is seeking an experienced Behavioral Health Nurse Manager to provide clinical and operational leadership for its inpatient behavioral health program.

This is an excellent opportunity for a current Behavioral Health Assistant Nurse Manager or experienced nursing leader ready to advance into a Nurse Manager role. The position oversees staffing, quality, patient care, regulatory compliance, performance improvement, and financial operations.

Responsibilities

• Direct daily inpatient Behavioral Health operations
• Lead, coach, and develop nursing staff
• Manage staffing, scheduling, and performance
• Drive evidence-based practice and quality improvement
• Monitor departmental budgets and resource utilization
• Ensure regulatory and accreditation compliance
• Promote patient safety and exceptional clinical outcomes

Requirements

• Active Maryland RN license or eligibility
• Nursing degree required
• 3-5 years of nursing experience
• Current inpatient Behavioral Health experience required
• Nursing leadership experience strongly preferred
• BLS certification
• Strong staff development and operational leadership skills
• ACLS/PALS preferred
